Min. Harin Fernando appointed Communications Head of UNP

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister Harin Fernando was appointed as the Communication Head and Spokesperson of the United National Party today (1st June). Minister Fernando obtained the letter of appointment from Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees this morning. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe speaking at the occasion stated that Harin Fernando was given these positions due to his commitment to the party. Speaking to media, Minister Harin Fernando said the idea to establish a communication unit was put forward \to address the shortcomings experienced by UNP government in communicating their views and actions to the public. .He went on to say that it is their responsibility to carry the truth to the people.
