Kelaniweli Railway Line hampered

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - Operations on the Kelaniweli Railway Line have been hampered as a result of a derailment in Kottawa. Additional General Manager of Railways, Vijaya Samarasinghe said operations have now been limited to Maharagama. The incident occurred when a train plying from Colombo to Avissawella derailed. Samarasinghe said three compartments of the train had derailed, adding measures are underway to put the compartments back on track.
