Udawalawa and Weheragala spill gates opened

Colombo (News1st) - The spill gates of the Weheragala and Udawala reservoirs have been opened due to the heavy rains being experienced in the area. The irrigation department noted that two spill gates of the Weheragala reservoir was opened at midnight. The Irrigation engineer in the area noted that the water levels of the Menik Ganga could increase suddenly due to this. The residents of Selakatharagama and Katharagama have been advised to remain cautious.
