President receives gazette detailing duties and functions of each ministry

Colombo (News1st) - The gazette notification which details the roles, responsibilities, departments and SOEs brought under each ministry has been handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena for his approval. Secretary to the President Austin Fernando noted that the Gazette would be issued once the President studies the documents and signs off on it. Fernando added that the departments brought under each ministry have been chosen in a scientific manner. The need for such a gazeet arose after the most recent cabinet reshuffle.
