Silver medal belonging to Late Dr. Lester James Peries found

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A medal made of silver which was awarded to legendary Sri Lankan film-maker, late Dr. Lester James Peries, from India was reported missing, soon after his demise. The Police announced today that the medal has been discovered. Police Media Spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekara, said the medal was discovered in a private bus operating along the Kaduwela - Colpetty route. The driver and the conductor of the bus who discovered the medal had notified the Colpetty Police about it. The medal went missing during the time it was placed at the funeral of Dr. Lester James Peries.
