COLOMBO (News 1st) – A group of United National Party (UNP) activists who were victims of political vengeance while serving at the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), staged a demonstration opposite UNP headquarters Sirikotha on Friday (May 4) demanding justice.
Following the appointment of the new government, the UNP appointed committees to provide relief to such individuals. The protestors claim that though the committees had recommended justice be meted out immediately no action has been taken.
The group called on the Administrative Secretary at Sirikotha and handed over a petition.
