Gammadda joins forces to raise disaster preparedness

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A series of public awareness campaigns on facing future disaster situations organised by Gammadda will take place in the coming days. In recent times, the country has suffered insurmountable losses of life and property due to natural disasters. Floods and landslides are common natural disasters that claim lives almost every year. Due to this the Disaster Management Center, Asia Pacific Alliance For Disaster Management together with Gammadda have organised a series of programs in order raising awareness and prepare for possible natural disasters. The programmes will take place in Matara, Ratnapura on the 5th of this month before moving onto the Galle and Kalutara Districts on the 6th and 7th respectively
