COLOMBO (New 1^st) – An unidentified group broke into and robbed a shop which sells mobile phones and accessories in Mallahewa, Meerigama recently. According to the preliminary reports, the thieves made away with Rs. 567 000 and 14 mobile phone.

The Police noted that the robbers had been wearing full-faced helmets and had intimidated the manager of the shop.

The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras fixed at the shop. The suspects have not been identified as yet and the Pallewela police have launched investigations into the incident.
