French President Emmanuel Macron says he thinks U.S. President Donald Trump will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. "My view is... that he will get rid of this deal on his own, for domestic reasons," Macron said at the end of a three-day state visit to the U.S. Trump has been a strong critic of the Iran nuclear deal, calling it "insane". The deal is set to expire on the 12th of May 12. Trump has until then to decide on the deal which is aimed at preventing Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is due to visit the U.S. to make a last-minute bid to prevent Trump from potentially torpedoing the agreement.
