Methanol Bowser toppels in Moratuwa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A bowser carrying a stock of chemicals veered off the road and into a drain in the Emanuel road in Rawatawatta, Moratuwa.

The Moratuwa Fire Brigade undertook the operation to remove the truck from the location. Two fire trucks were deployed for the operations. According to the fire brigade the bowser was carrying Methanol a key ingredient in the namufacture of products such as paint thinner.

The accident also caused traffic congestion in the area for some time.
