New cabinet to be appointed next week - President Sirisena

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Speaking to BBC Sinhala Service in London, President Maithripala Sirisena said a new cabinet will be appointed next week. President Sirisena noted that the new cabinet will be appointed based on a scientific method. He emphasised that the appointments that will be made next week will not be a cabinet reshuffle. The President went on to say he will personally assess which members are fit to serve as cabinet ministers and which members the country and the people can place their faith in.
