1 dead and 4 injured as gunman opens fire at a musical concert in Nittambuwa

Colombo (News1st) - A shooting at a musical show in Attanagalla, Nittambuwa claimed the life of one and injured four others.   According to the police, an unidentified group that arrived at the location at around 10.50pm yesterday (21st April) had opened fire using a pistol. 5 persons including one woman suffered injuries in the shooting and were admitted to the Wathupitiwala hospital. However one of the victims succumbed to his injuries as he was being taken to the hospital. The deceased has been identified as a 37-year-old resident of Devamitta, Heiyanthuduwa. No suspects have been identified and police are yet to uncover the motive behind the shooting. The Nittambuwa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
