Heavy traffic on Southern Expressway

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Heavy traffic was reported on the Southern Expressway towards Galle, this evening (April 14), due to a collision involving multiple vehicles. Speaking to News 1st, Director of Maintenance and Development of the Southern Expressway, S. Somanayake, said the authorities are currently taking all measures to mitigate congestion close to the interchange in Welipenna and the road between Gelanigama and Dodamgoda on the Southern Expressway.
