COLOMBO (News 1^st) – Thiwanka Ranasinghe won the bronze medal in the semi final round of the men’s 46-49 kg boxing event at the 2018 commonwealth games. Ranasinghe was bested by England’s Galal Yafai who advanced to the final.

Sri Lanka is currently placed 27^th. in the overall medals standing with one silver and four bronze medals. Australia leads the table with a total medal tally of 159 including 63 Gold, 46 Silver and 50 Bronze medals.
