"There are internal conflicts in cabinet" - MP Bandula Gunawardena

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Joint Opposition convening two separate media briefings today (April 10th) commented on the Cabinet of Ministers. UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardene stated that while members of the cabinet are fighting among themselves in a bid to retain port the country is going further into an abyss. He also noted that various group use such instances to sign agreements and get cabinet approval for projects which are not beneficial for the nation.   Parliamentarian Dinesh Gunawardena says that SLFP members boycotted today's cabinet meeting because they are unable to sit in a cabinet meeting with a Prime Minister whom they voted against. He also reveals that the Prime Minister has called on the President to strip away the ministerial portfolios of these members. Gunawardene who leads the parliamentary group known as the Joint Opposition once again laid claim to the position of Opposition leader and vowed to keep up pressure to gain this position.
