RDA prepares for more traffic on expressway

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Road Development Authority (RDA) has decided to open a number of additional entry and exit lanes at selected expressway interchanges, during the festive season. S. Opanayaka, Director of Expressway Operations Maintenance and Management Division of the RDA says the decision is aimed at reducing the traffic congestion due to the predicted increase in number of vehicles during the season. He further said, special security measures will be introduced with the assistance of the Police Special Task Force.
