COLOMBO (News 1st) – The United National Party (UNP) Working Committee and it’s parliamentary group have decided to once again appoint a leadership council.
Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka speaking to News1st said the leadership council will comprise of twelve members.
The minister went on to say, it was decided to continue all other positions as they are and the new leadership council will take a decision before April 30, on appointments to the post of General Secretary, National Organiser and Chairman of the UNP.
It was also decided at today’s discussion that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe should remain as the party leader.
