SLPP yet to name Chairpersons for 3 Pradeshiya Sabahs

COLOMBO (News 1^st) – The elections commission notes that the chairpersons are yet to be named for three Pradeshiya Sabahs in Balapitiya, Bentota and Anamaduwa. It was the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) that over 50% of the seats in these three local government bodies during the recently held local government elections.   The Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Sagara Kariyawasam speaking to News 1^st said that appointments have been delayed due to disputes between elected members on who the chairpersons should be.
