COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Higher Education says it is trying to provide solutions for a majority of demands cited by the university non-academic staff.
Subject Minister, Kabir Hashim said the involved parties are yet to reach a consensus, adding that another round of discussions was held last Thursday (March 29).
However, Chairman of the University Trade Union Joint Committee, Edward Malwattage said they will continue the strike action for the 32nd consecutive day, as authorities have failed to provide solutions to their demands.
