COLOMBO (News 1^st) – A 29-year-old mother and her five-year-old daughter were killed when a three-wheeler and JCB truck collided at the Pitigala Ambagahawila junction in Kahadhuwa in Maapalagama yesterday (March 20).

According to the Police, the driver of the three-wheeler along with another woman and child was injured following the accident.

The injured who were initially admitted to the Niyagama rural hospital have been transferred to the Karapitiya and Alpitiya hospitals for further treatment.

The deceased are residents of Thalgaswela.
