Thalawathugoda incident: Owner of BMW remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Fazeel Mohamed, the owner of the BMW high-performance sports car which was found abandoned in the Diyawanna Oya in Thalawathugoda, has been remanded until March 27. He was produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court, today. Fazeel Mohamed, a resident of Madiwela, handed himself over to the Thalangama Police through his lawyer yesterday. The high-performance vehicle is currently in the custody of the Thalangama Police. Police Media Spokesperson's office said the vehicle was driven by Fazeel Mohamed at the time of the accident. It was confirmed by the CCTV camera footage and recorded statements.
