State uni. education halt: Discussion to be held

COLOMBO (News1st) - The University Joint Trade Union Committee says another discussion to intensify their joint trade union action will be held today. Its Chairman, Edward Malwattage said none of the higher officials held any discussions with them although it has been fifteen days since the trade union action was launched. He added that the higher education sector is currently facing a serious problem due to this. The strike has severely affected education activities of 15 state universities, 3 campuses and 18 higher education institutions.
