COLOMBO (News 1st) – The first match of the Nidahas Trophy T20 Tri-Nation Series cricket tournament will open today, at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

Sri Lanka will take on India in the first match of the tournament.

Speaking prior to the match Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal expressed these views:

“We are not thinking about the result and we just want to play one match at a time. So we have something in up our sleeves that is unique. And we just want to execute that when we 

are in the middle. So then we can get the result what we want. So that’s what we are going to do as a unit.”

Rohit Sharma expressed the below:

“Kuldeep Yadav is not here because he is injured. Yuzvendra Chahal is here. Obviously, he is turned into one of the match-winners for team India for the past few months. I think, I hope, you know that he continues to do that and of course he knows exactly what his strengths are and we just have to support him and we have to be with him.”
