Daisy Forest granted permission to travel overseas

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court granted permission for Daisy Forest, grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, to travel overseas during the period from March 3 to March 24 for medical treatment. Daisy Forest has been named as a suspect in a case filed over money laundering. Mount Lavinia Magistrate, Mohammed Mihayil, granted permission under the condition that the suspect makes another surety worth Rs. 1 million in addition to other bail conditions imposed on her. The Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division filed a case against Daisy Forest over the purchase of a land worth Rs. 36 million, from Ratmalana.
