Board members appointed for Office of Missing Persons

COLOMBO (News1st)- A seven-member board of officials was appointed for the Office of Missing Persons by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (February 28). The board which is scheduled to meet next week is chaired by President's Counsel, Saliya Peiris. The other members include Major General Mohan P. Peiris, Dr. Nimalka Fernando, Attorney-at-Law Somasiri Liyanage, Jayadeepa Punyamoorthi, Mirak Raheem and Kana-pathi-pillei Wendan. The draft bill for the establishment of the Office of Missing Persons was approved in 2016.
