Tension in Thambuttegama: protesting farmers dispersed by Police

COLOMBO News 1st - A protest in Thambuttegama was dispersed today (February 28), by the police after launching water cannons and tear gas. According to reports, the protestors were farmers who cultivate their lands using Rajanganaya reservoir. They were protesting against a water project which sources water from the Rajanganya reservoir.
