Tennakoon further stated that the United National Party has not changed a bit but the country has seen four presidents.

“ Ranil Wickremesinghe sits on the same chair in the United National Party, and it is exactly where it was. So you can expect nothing else but internal issues and a lack of democracy from within the party, ”  said Executive Director of CaFFE, Keerthi Tennakoon

Keerthi Tennakoon further pointed out that this is the reason for the deteriorating state of the country today. Furthermore, he stated that having made the statement those in the elections operations office in Sirikotha have addressed a letter to the Election Commission accusing the election observers as being biased. “This is what they are doing.
