COLOMBO (News1st) – Train services along the Kelani Valley has been disrupted due to a train derailment between Kottawa and Maharagama.

According to the Railway Control Room, two trains scheduled to arrive from Padukka and Avissawella have been cancelled following the derailment.

The Control Room added the derailment had taken place at around 7:30 this morning.
