Having a lot of things with us, we  yet continue to complain about the little things we do not have in our life.

But have we ever stopped and thought about what others might not have, what the others lack in their life.

The News 1st team found a school in Matale which is almost eight decades old, and educates more than 450 children, lacking a proper school play ground.

Due to reasons the school is compelled to host the track events of its annual Inter-House sports meet on the main road.

The Annual Inter-House Sports Meet of the Pangollamada Lukmaniya Maha Vidyalaya in Akurana, Matale took place on January 29.

As there is no proper playground for the school, the authorities were compelled to have the track events on the road leading to the Pangollamada Village.

They resorted to this decision because they cannot let the talents of these young sportsmen and women go to waste.

This situation has been in existence for many years and authorities have turned a blind eye to this need.

Minister of Education, this is for your attention.
