The vehicular movement along several roads including the Katunayake expressway will be restricted from 11:30 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. in line with the departure of visiting Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and the arrival of the Indonesian President Joko Widodo, today.
Issuing a communique, Police Headquarters noted that vehicular movement surrounding Peliyagoda, Bandaranaike Mawatha, Orugodawatte Junction, Dematagoda, Borella Junction, D.S. Junction, Greenpath, Nelum Pokuna Junction, Liberty Roundabout and Galle road via the St. Michael road will be limited from 11:30 a.m. till 01:00 p.m.
The communique further notes that, in line with the departure of the Singaporean Premier, vehicular movement from Galle road to Kollupitiya Junction, Pittala Junction, Library Roundabout, Nelum Pokuna Junction, Greenpath, D.S. Junction, Borella Junction, Dematagoda, Orugodawatte Junction, Bandaranaike Junction and the Bandaranaike International Airport via the Katunayake expressway from Peliyagoda will be limited from 01:00 p.m. to 02:00 p.m.
Hence, police requests the general public to use alternative routes.
