Singapore PM commences Sri Lanka tour – changes in Colombo road traffic movement announced

Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong is scheduled to arrive in the country today, January 22, on a three day official visit at the invitation of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Singaporean Premier will be received at the Presidential Secretariat on the morning of Tuesday, January 23, with an official guard of honour. The meeting will be followed by official bi-lateral discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena.

Meanwhile, the Police Headquarters states that vehicular movement along several roads will be limited this evening in line with the official visit of the Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, to Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, vehicular movement from the Bandaranaike International Airport to Colombo will be limited from 4:20 p..

Issuing a communique, the Police Headquarters said the Singaporean Premier’s route will fall along

  • Kelani Bridge
  • Baseline Road
  • Bandaranaike Junction
  • Orugodawatte Junction
  • Ingram Juntion
  • Borella Junction
  • Horton Place via the D.S. Senanayake Junction
  • Passing Horton roundabout
  • St. Michael Roundabout
  • Galle Road

As a result,  vehicular movement along these routes will be limited from 4:20 Monday evening.
