CID reveals names of UNP MPs who spoke with Aloysius during scam inquiry – PM to appear on Monday

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Bond Issuance revealed today, that several UNP MPs in the 8th COPE, had communicated with Arjun Aloysius during proceedings of inquiring into the bond scam.

A sub inspector of the CID’s Technical Aid Unit, provided a detailed report of communication between persons of interest before the Commission.

It was revealed that MP Sujeewa Senasinghe had 62 phone conversations with Arjun Aloysius.

The witness also revealed there were 23 phone conversations each, between UNP MPs Harshana Rajakaruna and Hector Appuhamy.

It was also revealed in the Commission that UNP Deputy Minister, Ajith P. Perera, had two phone conversations with Aloysius.

Details were also revealed that there had been two phone conversations between Arjun Aloysius and Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara.

In the meantime, the Commission requested Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to appear before the Commission on Monday.


Meanwhile, tensions flared in parliament.

When MP Namal Rajapaksa questioned on the phone calls between State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe and Arjun Aloysius, many unknown facts were revealed.
