The Coconut Cultivation Board said raids have been launched to nab coconut traders who are stocking coconut.

The Chairman of the Coconut Cultivation Board, Kapila Yakkandawela, said legal action would be taken against such traders.

Steps were taken to sell a coconut for a wholesale price of Rs. 65.

The reason for the steps taken was the hike of the retail price to Rs. 100.

Mobile trucks have been initiated across the country to distribute coconuts at a set price of Rs. 65.
