The National Disaster Relief Services Centre has begun handing out compensation to the houses and property that were damaged following the flash floods that were experienced in the country in May.
According to the Director of the National Disaster Relief Services Centre, the estimated amount of damage caused for those residing in twelve Districts is at Rs. 10,548 million.
He added that compensation will be given via the National Insurance Trust Fund.
