President Maithripala Sirisena has instructed all ministers and members of parliament to prepare for the upcoming election.

This  move was made at the Central Committee Meeting of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, that was held on Thursday night. The meeting was held at the official residence of the President.

Discussions have also been held with regard to the upcoming 66th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
