Sichuan University in China and the Pathfinder Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding, focusing on the development of educational opportunities of both countries in Colombo, on the afternoon of Monday, April 24.
The MoU was signed by the Executive Director of the Pathfinder Organisation and the Executive Director of the Faculty of Social Development and Western China Development Studies of the Sichuan University.
Founder of the Pathfinder Foundation Milinda Moragoda was also present at the event.
Executive Director – Pathfinder Organisation, Luxman Sirwardena speaking on the matter said:
[quote]“Our primary objective is to have joint studies on mutually beneficial or mutually interesting areas such as the Chinese tourism to Sri Lanka, what are the constraints and issues and try to develop such and what actions needs to be taken for further development as well as another area that we have already identified is the study on the Sri Lankan and Chinese legal systems. These will be followed up in the months to come”.[/quote]
