Italy passed a new bill aiming to enhance immigration regulations by shortening the process of asylum applications, identity confirmations and immigrant repatriations.
According to the new bill, Italy’s government plans to recruit 250 professionals to take charge of the asylum application process.
Fourteen courts will add 26 special organisations to solve cases concerning immigrants.
From now on, immigrants can only appeal once within one month after their applications are rejected.
The Italian government will also rebuild their repatriation centres throughout the country.
