The Gammadda Door to Door Campaign, which seeks to uncover the true issues faced by the people of Sri Lanka continued today as well in three districts
A News1st Gammadda team engaged in the door to door campaign in the Puttalam district today.The News 1st team discussed many public issues while touring several villages including Kuruketiyawa and Samurdhigama. According to the people, two of the most pressing issues they face are the lack of drinking water and the wild elephant menace.
Another News1st team toured several villages including Weligepola, Kapugaha, Diyavinna, Handagiragoda, Girivanthalawa and Sandatanna in the Balangoda area in Ratnapura.
We met 12-year old Krishna in the Sandatanne village. Krishna who helps his father make bricks for a living is said to be a promising student in School. Krishna who is facing many financial difficulties needs some help to continue pursuing her education.
Another News 1st team toured the Silavathura area Mannar today. When visiting the Kondachchi village we got to know that these people are facing a severe drinking water issue due to salt water mixing with fresh water.
