Representatives of the Sri Lanka Communist Party met with President Maithripala Sirisena on Thursday, December 8.
During the meeting the President and the Communist Party members discussed the current political status of the country, as well as future political activities.
The president also recalled the long standing ties between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Communist Party.
A group including the Leader of the Communist Party, D. E. W. Gunasekera and the General Secretary of the UPFA Minister Mahinda Amaraweera were present for the meeting.
