A powerful 6.6 magnitude earthquake has hit central Italy says United States Geological Survey.
The USGS said the quake was centered 68 km (42 miles) east southeast of Perugia. It was 108 km (67) deep.
This comes only three days after two more tremors shook the region on Wednesday, leaving villages partly destroyed.
No immediate causalities have been reported so far.
