Religious leaders were informed on the Gammadda 100 Days Initiative , as it neared its 100 Days.

The Gammadda 100 Days is Sri Lanka’s first ever Public Service Initiative that provides solutions to the people issues.

A News 1st team called on the Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter the Most Venerable Thibbatuwe Sri Sumangala Thero and explained the progress on the completion of projects and the manner in which the people are benefit through these projects, which were done under the Gammadda 100 day initiative.

Later the News 1st team called on the Anunayake of the Asgiri Chapter , Most Ven.Vedaruwe Upali Thero and obtained his blessings.

The chief Registrar of the Asgirya Chapter the Most Venerable Dr. Medagama Dhammananda Thero too gave his blessings to the Gammadda 100 Days initiative.

Meanwhile the Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo,His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Fernando and All Ceylon Jammiyiatha-Thu-Ulamah too added his blessings to the Gammadda 100 days initiative.

Two more projects were vested in the public under the Gammadda 100 Day initiative on Wednesday, October 26. A milk collection centre was established in the Egodapitiya area in Thabbowa, Puttalam.

In addition to this, the Egodapitiya community hall was also vested in the public. The Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation financially supported this project.

The dreams of the people in Aluthwewa, Thanamalwila became a reality today when Gammadda 100 Days initiative was able to provide clean drinking water for them.

The water purification system was established with the assistance of the Presidential Task Force on Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease and the Sri Lanka Navy.
