The Tenth Udagammana Model Village was declared open in Tissamaharama on October 15, under the patronage of Minister Sajith Premadasa.

The event was held in line with the International Day of Rural Women. The model village has been named the “Vihara Maha Devipura Soba Sith Gama”

At the event, twenty five (25) individuals were presented deeds by Minister of Housing and construction Sajith Premadasa.

In addition, deeds were presented to 349 individuals under the Samata Sevana Programme, to renovate houses.
