Prime Minister Ranil Wickremsinghe reached the Auckland International Airport on Friday September 30, commencing his three-day official visit to New Zealand. The premier undertook the tour following an invitation extended by his Kiwi Counterpart John Key.
The Lankan delegation was welcomed by the New Zealand Primary Industries Minister Nathan Guy.
Also present for the occasion was the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to New Zealand Somasundaram Skandakumar.
Reporting from New Zealand, News 1st’s Gayan Sampath said that Prime Minister Wickremesinghe will be welcomed by the government of New Zealand at the government building in Auckland on Saturday October 1.
Following the welcome, the premier is set to meet New Zealand’s business communities.
