Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare, Ranjan Ramanayake, made a revelation at a media briefing held in Colombo on Monday September 26.
At the briefing, Ramanayake marked the difference of good governance against that of the previous regime.
“This is not a hunt”, he said.
He went on to note that the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption is conducting investigations, regardless of any party difference.
He also claimed a deputy minister of the government will be soon brought before the law, as 95% of the investigations into the individual has been completed. And for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka a deputy minister is to be taken into custody by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
