Rio Paralympics 2016: Bronze medalist Dinesh Priyantha arrives

Sri Lanka’s Dinesh Priyantha, who won the bronze medal in Men’s Javelin Throw F46 event at the Rio Paralympics 2016 arrived in the country a short while ago.

Dinesh Priyantha won bronze, clearing a distance of 58.23 metres, recording his personal best.

Priyantha, who became the first Sri Lankan to win a medal at this year’s Paralympics, finished behind India’s Devendra and China’s Chunliang Guo.

Dinesh ,a member of the Gajaba Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army suffered an injury in a terrorist attack in Kilinochchi in 2008.
