A company named Ananas Anam Ltd has developed an innovative and sustainable non-woven textile called Pinatex in the Philippines.

This is made out of pineapple leaves fiber.

The specialty of this is that the waste is being transformed into something useful and that no extra land, water, fertilizers or pesticides are required to produce them.

It was also important to know that this helps the economy of the country, especially a poor nation like Philippines as this provides new additional income for farmers and a vibrant new industry for pineapple growing countries.
