Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his grandmother Daisy Forest, appeared at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court on Thursday in the case pertaining to a 60 perch plot of land on Mihindu Mawatha, Mount Lavinia.
The Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division has launched an investigation to ascertain how funds were earned to purchase this land.
As per a request made by FCID officers today, Mount Lavinia Additional Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrema Weerasinghe, granted permission for the land to be surveyed on the 20th of this month.
Court also granted permission today to relax Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s bail conditions.
