Javelin thrower Dinesh priyantha Herath was able to clinch the first medal for Sri Lanka at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. He has won bronze in the mens’ F46 final event.

Dinesh recorded a distance of 58. 23 meters and incidentally this was his personnel best.
