A chain snatcher was nabbed by his victim moments after the crime. The incident was reported from Kothpaha Vihara Road in Akuragoda, Matara.

According to our correspondent, two thieves on a motorcycle had snatched a woman’s chain and she had chased after them.

She had managed to bring down the criminal who was riding on the  pillion, while the other had got away. Locals in the area gathered at the location after they heard the screams of the victim and had proceeded to beat up the thief.
