President Maithripala Sirisena says that he will appear on behalf of the safety and dignity of the members of the three-armed forces.The President was speaking at the ninth Defence Services Sports Games at the Panagoda Sri Lanka Army indoor stadium on Monday

The closing ceremony of the Games which last across 5 months for 37 separate events came to a close last evening with much colour and pageantry.

State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene and Secretary of Defence Karunasena Hettiarachchi were among those present for the event.
